By Handsome Ransom, Dr Watson’s previous win, before lining up at Trentham in June 2019, had been back in May 2017. His form since had been mostly pretty solid but a win elusive.

His fifth win was also the first winning ride for jockey Bridie Ansell. She rode patiently and poked him through a gap to get up for a really nice win. Celebrations all round that day!
